CORK Pressure Sensors

NEPTUNE Canada is collaborating with the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) to implement continuous monitoring from several of their CORK instruments. The CORK pressure logging instruments are affixed to small frames secured to the CORK's landing platform. They are capable of monitoring multiple depth levels on separate channels, sampling at rates of 15-60s.
One CORK pressure sensor is currently connected to the NEPTUNE Canada network.

The following links provide a history of the borehole/CORK 1027C which was scheduled to be installed on Expedition 327 of the Ocean Drilling Program. Unfortunately, Expedition 327 was not successful in installing the new CORK. It was installed on an Atlantis/Jason cruise on Jul 11, 2011.
