Sea-Bird CTD Raw Files

These are hexadecimal (.hex) raw data files from Sea-Bird CTD instruments. They can describe (from Seasoft V2: SBE Data Processing User’s Manual. Revision 7.26.8. Available at: https://www.seabird.com):

  • Hexadecimal raw data file created by Seasave from real-time data stream from SBE 9plus (Seasave > 7.0), 16, 16plus, 16plus V2, 19, 19plus, 19plus V2, 21, 25, 25plus, or 49.
  • Data uploaded from memory of SBE 16, 16plus, 16plus-IM, 16plus V2, 16plus-IM V2, 17plus (used with SBE 9plus CTD), 19, 19plus, 19plus V2, 21, 25, or 37.
  • Converted (engineering units) data file created by Seasave from real-time data stream from SBE 45.

These files include header information. These are only available for autonomously deployed instruments.
