Parent ticket / Epic: DMAS-66458: As an ONC HydroCal user, I would like iterative improvements for late 2021
Change-list:
- Fixed issues with rounding in the sensitivity and frequency values, enables narrow sweeps
- Improve the drive amplitude user interface, add quick scaling parameters, improve and clarify use of drive amplitude max and bias values
- Improve handling of files and file-naming, remove the save button
- Improve handling of time stamps - in the metadata UI, in file-naming and in keeping track of acquisition and post-process times
- Workflow and data file I/O improvements, improve switching between files / switching configurations, loading (particularly for old files) and saving, fix bugs in this area
- Output data increasing order for better integration with Oceans 3.0
- Minor improvements such as spelling mistakes, user manual updates, plot labels, improved diagnostic logging, add more wait/busy indicators, bug fixes
- Improvements for main user interface

- Add automatic downsampling of external digital hydrophone wav file data to prevent out of memory errors and improve performance
- Improve sync tone detection and reliability for external digital hydrophones
- Added a check for software updates
- Updated run-time library to MATLAB R2019a

Change-list:
- Handles start/stops/reloads of calibrations much better
- Handles loading older versions of calibration data files and settings files
- Added ability to recover badly synchronized data by cross-correlating to target tones
- Improved spacing around plots
- Various UI changes to display and interaction, including warnings for missing parameters that would caused calibrations to fail
- Fixed cal sheet mis-alignment
- Changed a number of defaults: source voltage ramp rates, sample rates
- Made more parameters configurable, including the low voltage alert
- Changed filename and date stamping to the date of the data acquisition instead of file creation
- Improved re/post-processing of the data, plus added the ability (optionally) to reprocess the reference data, including changing some parameters
- Add quality metrics: correlation and signal to noise ratios - this allows users to compare multiple runs and pick the best result
