The RDI Ocean Surveyor ADCP is a hull-mounted device installed on many research vessels. The Ocean Surveyor can measure currents and suspended materials through the water column and along the ship’s path. Source files are collected one of two ways: by the manufacturer software VmDAS, or by the University of Hawaii Data Acquisition System (UHDAS). Files from both systems are sorted and zipped.
See RDI ADCP Time Series documentation.
RDI ADCP Raw Data
The raw files are zipped into daily folders. This applies to data collected by both the UHDAS and VmDAS systems.
RDI ADCP Processed Data
These processed files are zipped together into one file that spans the entire duration of the dataset. This only applies to the data collected by the UHDAS system.
