Metadata Product
Most of Ocean Networks Canada's data products come with a metadata file, which gives information about all aspects of data. Essentially they are 'data about data.' The metadata data product comes as a separate result for every data search run on our servers.
Metadata contain information on the data and data sources, the observatory, the instrument/sensor, and other background information.
Ocean Networks Canada currently provides one format for the metadata reports:

As of September 2019, ONC has transitioned away from the FGDC format to ISO 19115.
