'The proposed scientific experiment envisage the long-term (decade scale) high-frequency monitoring of the ecological successional stages involved in the decomposition of a large adult (up to 40 ton) whale carcass in the seafloor. The first year and a half of the experiment would be captured in film (from both ROV footage and the crawler Wally) to be showcased in the new BBC Oceans documentary series, in development stages.’
